Sarah M. Kaufman

Sarah M. KaufmanI’m Sarah Myland Kaufman: urbanist, transportation planner, tech advocate and futurist.

I research, organize events on the intersection of transportation and technology, and teach Intelligent Cities and Advanced Projects in Urban Planning at NYU’s Rudin Center for Transportation Policy & Management. My research is currently focused on Intelligent Paratransit, political protest on city streets, the L Train closure and bike share innovation. I’ve been cited in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, FiveThirtyEight, AM New York and WNYC.

I love NYC to a fault, can spout endless transit trivia, and live in Manhattan with my awesome husband and wonderful insomniac kids.

This Sarah Kaufman is not the dance reviewerphotographer, or ultimate fighter by the same name.

I think out loud over at Twitter. Contact me here for research, speaking opportunities or other random thoughts.
