Sarah M. Kaufman

I’m Sarah Kaufman: urbanist, transportation planner, tech advocate and futurist.

I improve urban life in the areas of transportation, technology and giving a megaphone to those who need one.

My work is focused on 21st century mobility: investigating crisis impacts to urban flows, evaluating transportation tech, boosting women leaders in the industry, training early career leaders, and enhancing innovation at all levels of transportation planning and policymaking.

I’m also the instructor of Intelligent Cities: Technology, Policy, and Planning and Advanced Projects in Urban Planning at the NYU Wagner School of Public Service.

I’ve been named to City & State‘s New York’s Responsible 100, Transportation 100 and Tech Power 50 lists, and cited in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, FiveThirtyEight, AM New York and WNYC.

I love NYC to a fault, can spout endless transit trivia, and live in Manhattan with my family.

This Sarah Kaufman is not the dance reviewerphotographer, or ultimate fighter by the same name.

I think out loud over at Twitter. Contact me here for speaking opportunities, consulting engagements or other random thoughts.
